In this article I go through how we transformed a 13 yr old careworn Hand painted Laurel Farm kitchen into a bespoke kitchen.
This kitchen was indeed ready for a makeover. Over years wood settles and this starts to show. Cracks, splits and in my option not so well painted to begin with, but as a kitchen very good. This kitchen needed a lot of sanding and filling to improve its appearance. With having painted kitchens over 20 years we have the experience to handle all kitchens.
Nearer the time to us starting I called round to sort all the colours, Bone & Card Room Green from the F&B colour chart. This was a fairly large kitchen with big windows on both sides of the room, a fabulous family kitchen.

As mentioned before this kitchen required a bit more sanding and filling than most. First it needed cleaning using our favoured degreaser cleaner scratching it up with a Mirlon pad.Hand painted Laurel Farm kitchen
Once this was done it all got a thorough sand down using the dustless sander for a super smooth surface. Doing this exposed a lot of the knots so they we’re all spray primed with a shellac based primer. Now the the kitchen was ready for its primer coat overall.
With all the kitchen now primed it looked completely different and ready for the two top coats of furniture paint which we use all the time mixed into equivalent colours. Hand painted Laurel Farm kitchen
Painting Furniture too.
The customer also wanted their lovely dresser painted in the Card Room Green.
A light sand and a couple of coats of Danish oil on them and they looked brand new. With the kitchen finished all it needed was for us to clean up and hand it back to a delighted Louise & Kevin. The kitchen was a real beauty and with a hard wearing finish that will last for years. Hand painted Laurel Farm kitchen

We would not hesitate to recommend Jason and his team. From the start every contact has been friendly, helpful and professional. Jason provided expert guidance on colour choice and the two Matts’ workmanship was of superb quality. We really feel like we have a brand new kitchen.
