Tulip wood, while denser, also needs a good primer to ensure the paint adheres smoothly. We carefully applied the Otex, making sure every nook and cranny was covered. It’s a time-consuming process, but it’s the key to a professional outcome.
Then came the colour! Three coats of Tikkurila Helmi 10. That paint is a dream to work with. The matt finish is so smooth, so luxurious. And those colours? The Sage Green for the island was a stroke of genius. It grounded the space, brought in a touch of nature. And the Julie’s Dream for the surrounding cabinets? It was like opening up the room, making it feel so much brighter and airier.
We didn’t just focus on the paint, though. A kitchen is more than just colour. The client had chosen some stunning new hardware from Slingers Ironmongers in Preston. Those handles and knobs? They added a touch of elegance that really elevated the whole design. And because we believe in going the extra mile, we meticulously oiled the inside of the cabinets.
